Big Ten Players excel on ITA Summer Circuit

The ITA Summer Circuit is a great way for juniors and college players to get on the court together and sharpen their skills during the summer.  It's especially advantageous to incoming freshman who want to get a feel for college play.  In the first week, some Big Ten Players have been proving themselves on this year's circuit.


At Pittsburgh's National Collegiate Clay Courts, Ohio State's Kara Cecil was the women's singles winner with a 7-5,3-6,1-0(2) win over junior Ronit Yurovsky.

had no problem getting used to his soon to be homecourt during the ITA Summer Circuit event at the University of Michigan. He took the men's singles trophy with a .6-3,6-3 win over Pablo Olivarez.

 This week Northwestern's incoming freshman Nida Hamilton took the singles title at the ITA Summer Circuit event at Western Michigan UniversityHamilton defeated Bowling Green's Nicole Chiricosta in the final 7-6(1),6-4.
