It seems like it was just September and the 2009-10 college tennis season was just beginning, but it's actually over. The final Big Ten dual matches have been completed.
Men-No. 35 Minnesota 5, No. 59 Iowa 2
This match was closer than the score closed, with Iowa taking the doubles point and the first singles for a 2-0 lead before Minnesota came from behind for the rest.
No. 14 Illinois 7, Michigan State 0
While the Illini swept the Spartans, Marek Czerwinski finished his dual match career with a win at No. 1 singles, and a 9-1 Big Ten record.
No. 4 Ohio State 4, No. 27 Wisconsin 3The Buckeyes made it official on Sunday, taking their fifth-consecutive regular season title. Wisconsin did take the doubles point and then pick up two more singles after the clinch.
Women-
No. 52 Purdue 4, No. 66 Minnesota 3
The Boilmakers picked up their 16th win, tying the 1982 team's win total. It was also a record-making day for Michelle Sammons and Jennifer Rabot, who picked up their 25th win, making them doubles leaders for Purdue women's tennis.
No. 6 Northwestern 5, No. 32 Ohio State 2The Wildcats took control immediately with a sweep of the doubles point and the first two singles. Though the Buckeyes did take No. 5 singles, that wasn't enough as Northwestern clinched it at 4-1.
No. 4 Michigan 6, No. 43 Indiana 1The Wolverines showed the Hoosiers how they made it to No. 1 in the Big Ten with four straight points for the win, but senior Lindsey Stuckey got to finish her career with the lone Indiana win.
No. 21 Illinois 5, Michigan State 2The Illini finished the dual season with a secure No. 3 spot in the conference after sweeping the doubles and beating the Spartans at 4-0.
