The Big Ten gave two players their second Big Ten Players of the Week awards of the season.
The Illini have picked up accolades from the Big Ten the last three out of four weeks, with two of those going to senior Marek Czerwinksi. This week the Michigan native Czerwinksi picked up three straight wins this past week, two of which clinched matches for his team. The wins were over Illinois State and Wisconsin, the latter of which came with an upset over Moritz Baumann, the No. 13 player in the country.
The women's Big Ten Player of the Week is Iowa's Sonja Molnar. It's only been two weeks since Molnar last received this honor and she has once again proven worthy. She helped the Hawkeyes to two wins last week (over Wichita State and Tulsa) and a No. 18 ranking nationally. During the victories, the Canadian won all of her singles and doubles matches.
