Illinois' Megan Fudge and Ohio State's Chase Buchanan were named this week's Players of the Week by the Big Ten Conference.
Senior Megan Fudge earned her second accolade of the season and fifth of her career. She was instrumental in leading the No. 26 Fighting Illini to a win over Minnesota and and upset victory over higher ranked Iowa, where she took out Sonja Molnar (6-1,6-3), who is ranked No. 55 in the country.
This is becoming a habit for Buckeye Chase Buchanan. The sophomore earned his sixth -- and third consecutive -- recognition this season. He got number six by winning six last week. Three doubles and three singles matches helped Buchanan lead Ohio State to three more victories. They continue to dominate the Big Ten (and most of the country) with a 25-1 record that includes a 17 game winning streak.
